JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for completing preventive maintenance inspections, (PMIs) on clinical equipment as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations. Responsible for completing all documentation of PMIs. Responsible for completing and documenting repairs on clinical equipment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Bachelor degree preferred.
  2. Formal technical training with resultant knowledge in electronic circuitry and basic understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  3. Basic understanding of biomedical test equipment.
  4. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
  5. Able to work well on own without continual supervision.
  6. Implements safe work practices.
  7. Proficiency in completing necessary documentation is required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Accepts direction from the Director of Plant Operations.

Under minimal or no supervision, performs scheduled PMIs and completes all pertinent documentation in designated time frame.

Under minimal or no supervision, performs repairs on clinical equipment and completes all pertinent documentation in designated time frame.

Assists in the facility wide safe use of biomedical equipment.

Responsible for keeping current on new developments in and pertaining to the biomedical field.

Reviews and stays up to date on regulations of all applicable regulatory agencies.

Responds to and makes his/her skills available in all emergency situations.

Will follow all safe work practices.

Maintains the cleanliness of the common work areas and assigned work space.
